A collaborative newspaper to celebrate Cardiff's CreativeMornings story so far.
In early 2014, Sarah Burley founded CreativeMornings/CDF. For the next two and a half years, Sarah and her small but slowly growing team worked hard to bring the local creative community a brilliant monthly event powered by strong coffee and delicious pastries. With talks from the likes of David Hieatt and Lee John Phillips, it's safe to say that people from various creative fields were left feeling inspired.
At the end of 2016, Sarah handed the CreativeMornings/CDF torch over to Melin Edomwonyi. With the chapter in safe hands, it seemed only right to create something to celebrate Sarah's time as host. Together Sarah and Gareth decided to create a small newspaper that could be shared locally and globally documenting all the events and the loyal MorningPeople. After just one weekend we found we had put together a lovely momento to document and share. You can take a look at the digital version here.
This project quickly turned into a real celebration of collaboration—something that CreativeMornings has inspired time and time again. Just hours after asking the local creative community and past speakers to contribute we had plenty of beautiful, well executed and meaningful content. Thank you to each and every one of you who got involved.
